When I was very young, I loved faeries. Then I let someone talk me out of believing in them. I should never have done so. I had read some of the Andrew Lang colored Fairy books when I was little, and when I had a job and was making money, I bought them one of them each payday until I had all twelve of them. I call them "the history of my people," and consider them some of the most prized parts of my personal library. I recommend them highly. I also recommend The Field Guide to Gnomes, Fairies, Elves & Other Little People, Faeriecraft, and A Witch's Guide to Faeries. Now I also have The Element Encyclopedia of Magical Creatures, which includes faeries.
Now I'm back into faeries. Note the spelling. I'm really into them now, more than I was as a child, and most of my friends are into them too. Now I can sometimes buy things that I couldn't get as a child, and I also get them as gifts. I think there must be some faerie blood on my mother's mother's side of the family, as I remember Grandma as being a tiny woman. She was under 5' tall. And although I don't have a faery's delicate tiny build or coloring, my interest in them must be the faery blood coming through.
I'm really glad to be here, and look forward to joining groups, and establishing a few of my own.
Stephen Abbott's new computer, a Dell, is on its way. He should have it within a week. Don't ever get an Inspiron 1301 laptop. It is a lemon of a machine. Stephen had nothing but trouble with it from the time he got it last August. The fact that it was built by Blue Hippo didn't help either. Most people didn't even get a lousy computer, so he was lucky to even get that. That company totally ripped off a bunch of people. I hope this one is better and actually works for him. If it does, all his excuses will have to go bye-bye, and he'll have to form our groups and work on them.
With any luck, I won't be around much starting next week. I'll have to go back to my work. I am a writer. I write erotic romance and have five books out. Three are from Silk's Vault Go to http://www.silksvault and do a search under Rita Trevalyan. That's me. Three titles will come up. All three are for those 18 and up.
Where I am currently is http://www.firedrakesweyr.com/, a brand new publishing house that does it all, ebooks, print books, and audiobooks. Do a search on Rita Trevalyan, and two titles will come up. Takuhi's Dream is a Young Adult book (ages 13-17) that has no erotic material in it. It is the story of a young professional woman who travels through the Galaxy fleeing from a monster she cannot face, and being pursued by two men; one who clearly means her harm, and the other, well, you'll just have to get a download, read it and find out, won't you.
The other one is Roman Rhapsody, which is erotic, and for those 18 and up. It's about a happily married, wealthy woman in her early forties in a state of ennui who has disturbingly erotic dreams at night about another life in which she is an ancient Roman matron having an affair with a gladiator. Will she find a way to banish her ennui, or will she risk all she has in an affair with a modern gladiator?
Just a couple days ago, I published my website, http://ritatrevalyan.tripod.com/ . Do visit it. You will learn more about me.
